Purpose & scope

This policy sets the safety principles followed by Aanant LogistiX LLP when evaluating storage enquiries and conducting warehousing, handling and dispatch activities. It applies to partners, employees, contractors, transporters, vendors and visitors while they are engaged in company-controlled work or present at a company-controlled location.

Applicable laws, licence conditions, product-specific requirements and approved site procedures take priority wherever they prescribe a stricter control.

Our safety commitments

• Identify hazards, assess risk and apply suitable controls before work begins.
• Accept products only after reviewing the relevant information and applicable storage conditions.
• Provide clear procedures, supervision and role-appropriate safety instruction.
• Maintain orderly storage, safe access and documented material movement.
• Encourage immediate reporting of hazards, incidents and near misses.
• Review performance and improve controls when circumstances or requirements change.

Product review and acceptance

A storage discussion begins with accurate product information. Customers must provide the current Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), product identity, packaging type, quantity, expected stock level and any special handling or transport requirement.

Product acceptance is confirmed individually after considering compatibility, packaging condition, storage method and the applicable licence or regulatory conditions. An enquiry or quotation does not by itself confirm acceptance.

Safe storage and handling

Operating procedures must reflect the hazards and handling needs of the accepted product. Controls may include compatibility-led segregation, restricted access, suitable personal protective equipment, safe stacking, spill prevention, housekeeping, equipment checks and documented inward and outward movement.

Damaged, leaking, unidentified or incorrectly documented packages must be isolated from routine handling and escalated for review.

People, contractors and visitors

Personnel must be competent for their assigned work and follow the applicable instructions, personal protective equipment requirements and site controls. Contractors, drivers and visitors must follow access restrictions, traffic rules, safety directions and induction requirements relevant to their activity.

Customers, suppliers and transporters share responsibility for providing correct documents, serviceable packaging and accurate hazard information before arrival.

Emergency readiness

Emergency arrangements must be appropriate to the products handled, the site risk assessment and applicable approvals. Response procedures, communication, evacuation, spill control, fire response and access for emergency services are reviewed as part of operational readiness.

Emergency equipment and response arrangements are to be inspected, maintained and tested at defined intervals, with learnings from drills and incidents incorporated into future controls.

Reporting and improvement

Hazards, unsafe conditions, near misses, spills and incidents must be reported promptly. We review what happened, identify contributing causes, assign corrective action and record the outcome. Relevant information is shared with affected parties and authorities when required.
